If you receive a 500 internal server error page after logging into the Orca console, this is most likely due to a problem with your database connection.

To check your connection, open a shell window on the Orca console server and cd into the Orca installation directory. From this directory run the following command:

./orca sysprop list

This will perform a simple internal system properties dump and verify that the server can connect to the database properly.

On windows servers, replace ./orca with .\orca.bat

If errors are displayed, verify that the server can connect to the database server. If the database server is local, make sure it’s running and use command line tools to connect to it. If it’s remote, verify the remote server is running and allowing connections using the authentication values in effect for the Orca server.

The database connection parameters are stored in the file app/Config/database.php.
